At
creativityworks
we stimulate creativity by helping build
awareness and confidence in each individual.
We make it easy and enjoyable for each employee
to find hidden reserves of intuition, creativity and resourcefulness.

Our creativity tools are like no other available.
Experimental tools initially but
for over a decade they have proven
their validity and effectiveness time and time again.
Not only in the workplace but in one's personal life as well.

Creativity Expert Howard Gardner
from
Project Zero at Harvard University
has extensively studied and researched
the quantifiable and measurable benefits of creativity.
Through his work he has determined the profound difference
between those who use their creativity consciously
from those who don't.
What he has discovered that separates
"BIG C" Creatives" from "LITTLE C" Creatives
 is that "BIG C" Creatives
have these three personal-professional traits in common:

Some form of
DAILY REFLECTION
A way to REFRAME and REFOCUS setbacks and successes
The ability to LEVERAGE their strengths and talents.

All of the tools, tasks and exercises of
"THE ARTIST'S WAY AT WORK"
tap into and access one of more of these proven factors.
We won't give away all of our secrets
but here are a few of our proven methods.

BASIC CREATIVITY TOOLS
The bedrock of creative practice asks us to do these two things:
check-in with ourselves daily
and
give ourselves necessary time off to enjoy life.
These two tools are:

MORNING PAGES
A daily tool of self-reflection
that is unique to "THE ARTIST'S WAY" program.
It is through the use of stream-of-consciousness writing,
done in the morning,
that clears out mental clutter and opens pathways for
ideas and action.

As a
24-hour feedback loop,
patterns become clear, inhibitors make themselves apparent.
Answers and ideas come from within.
Our clients tell us that this one tool
is one of the most valuable new skills
they have ever developed.

TIME OUTS
A weekly solo adventure
that gives you the necessary time off to
refocus, reframe and revitalize yourself and your creative energies.
By giving yourself some personal "down time"
you will soon discover how it gives a refreshing perspective
to projects at hand.

CREATIVITY TASKS AND GAMES
Step by step as you engage in your own creative process
you begin to feel more confident in your resourcefulness.
Through interactive discussion,
exploratory exercises and improvisational games
you will recognize and soon deepen your
own brand of creative expression.
These tasks and games are not only fun
but can be easily applied to your work environment.

To ignite that creativity and to keep it energized
here are just a sampling of what we offer:

CREATIVE SELF-INVENTORY
Self inventory sheets to benchmark where you are in terms
of your own creative development and how that relates
to the work that you do.

LEADERSHIP QUIZ
Through this exercise you discover your attitudes and behaviors
that either allow you, or not, to stand strong
in who you are as a creative professional.

SECRET SELVES
All of us have many parts to our overall character:
our "rational" selves, our "professional" selves, our "playful" selves
our "resistant" selves, our "expressive" selves...etc...
Identifying these selves allows for us to
make the best us of ALL of them
as you go to work each day.

FANTASY DINNER PARTY
If you could invite five people
living or dead - famous or family - real or mythical
to your own personal dinner party,
who would you invite and why?
Discover your own sources of creative inspiration.

CINEMA SELF
By answering and interacting to a number of
insightful and imaginative questions
you will soon discover a direction of
where you want your personal and professional life to go

IDEAS INTO ACTION
Inevitably creativity requires activity.
By selecting a project you are currently working on
and creating an ACTION PLAN of doable steps
you will direct your creative energies forward.
With a system of brainstorming and accountability
you set yourself up for success
by moving from "just dreaming" about being creative
to actually turning your ideas into actuality.

MEASUREMENTS AND ASSESSMENTS
Creativity is a teachable and trackable process.
We have road-tested methods of measuring your progress:
from the recognition of your own creativity,
to the formation of an idea and then bringing that idea to life.

WEEKLY CHECK-INS
Weekly written exercises that document
the process and progress of your own creative development.
It is through these exercises that you realize
just how creative you already are and they ready you for action.

PROGRESS ASSESSMENTS
Progress isn't made by doing one thing 100% better,
but by doing ten things 10% better.
By the use of pre, post and mid-point evaluations
your creative development is recognized and celebrated.

Everybody needs a pat on the back,
an atta-boy or girl, and a little applause which encourages
the forward movement of their own creative expression.
It is
"progress over perfection"
that is the key to success.
We recognize and support the value of progress made by each employee.
Assessments along the way show you how far

you have readjusted the self-paradigms of your creative self.
